ATTRACTION OF THE OPPOSITES is an international cooperation project. It focuses on the exchange of contemporary artists and art affiliates. It generates artistic and cultural events in different locations in order to facilitate the meeting of visual artists, art critics, curators, writers and intellectuals. The curatorial projects aim to promote the work of inter/national contemporary artists working in a diverse field of practices (performance, installation, digital media, video art) to an international audience. Projects include participation in festivals, international exchanges, exhibitions and events.

In 2011 we introduced for the first time the self-organized platform ATTRACTION OF THE OPPOSITES as a means of establishing actual relations between different artistic disciplines and forms of production. The aim was to emphasize the necessity of an autonomous practice that could contribute to the enrichment of the cultural environment against the restrictions of the current political and economical climate. The most recent presentation took place at Kunstvlaai: Festival of Independents in Amsterdam, November -December 2012. Prior episodes include: the 2011 and 2012 editions held at the Artist Initiative CUCOSA in Rotterdam, which were celebrated with a publication (May 2013); and the film screenings in co-operation with Espacio Enter held at Tenerife Museum of Modern Art (November 2011 & 2012). In October – November of 2012 ATTRACTION OF THE OPPOSITES participated in the International Visual Art Festival Re-Culture 1 in Patras, Greece.
